Description

GENERAL PRINCE ADEKUNLE AND HIS SUPERSONIC SOUNDS / ORI ERIN TANI YIO FI WE T’ALANGBA’ /AALPS 002

This is an absolute royal masterpiece and foundational holy grail of Nigerian Jùjú music: General Prince Adekunle And His Supersonic Sounds (listed as Western State Brothers on early variants) — Ori Erin Tani Yio Fi We T’Alangba, released on the independent Shanu Olu (or associated custom press) label (Catalog No: AALPS 002).

Masterminded by the legendary Jùjú innovator General Prince Adekunle (whose pioneering ensemble served as the legendary incubator and training ground for superstars like Sir Shina Peters and Segun Adewale).

Featuring the iconic proverb-inspired title track “Ori Erin Tani Yio Fi We T’Alangba” (“Who can compare the size of an elephant to that of a lizard?”), this album captures his sophisticated guitar interplay, driving traditional percussion, and profound poetic philosophy.
