SIR VICTOR UWAIFO (J.P ;M.O.N.) (JUSTICE OF THE PEACE ; MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER) / HOLD YOUR ROMEO / POLP 241

This is a delightful and highly sought-after gem of 1980s Nigerian highlife and high-spirited romantic groove: Sir Victor Uwaifo (J.P., M.O.N.) — Hold Your Romeo, released on his independent imprint in the mid-1980s.

Masterminded by the legendary guitar wizard and multi-instrumentalist Sir Victor Uwaifo (noted here with his official national honors as a Justice of the Peace and Member of the Order of the Niger), this release captures his smoother 1980s highlife and dance-pop sensibilities.
