About Us

Discover the heartbeat of African music history. Curated collections, expert insights, and direct access to the rarest pressings..

Who we are?

Your premier destination for curated vintage African vinyl records.

AfroVinyl Treasures sells rare vinyl records from across Africa, including Afrobeat, Highlife, Ethio-jazz, and Soukous pressings from the 1960s through the 1980s. We started this business because we love this music and wanted to make it easier for other people to find it too.

We started AfroVinyl Treasures after spending months trying to track down a single hard-to-find record. It was frustrating, and we realized a lot of other collectors were going through the same thing. So we started buying, grading, and reselling records ourselves, and it grew from there.

Beyond the Algorithm:

Your Direct Connection to African Sound

Tired of endless scrolling, high fees, and generic marketplaces? AfroVinyl Treasures is built for the dedicated collector. We offer direct access to a carefully selected world of vintage African vinyl, bypassing the noise and connecting you with the music you love.

How we choose what to sell

We don't list every record we can get. Each one is checked for authenticity and condition before it goes up for sale. If we wouldn't want it in our own collection, we don't sell it.

More Information

Where our records come from

We buy directly from collectors, families, and independent sellers in Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, and other countries across the continent. We try to pay fair prices, and part of every sale goes back to supporting the artists and communities connected to this music.

Every record is graded using standard collector terms (Mint, Near Mint, VG+, and so on), and we describe any wear or damage honestly. We take clear photos of the actual record and sleeve you'll receive, not stock images.

We package every record carefully to avoid warping or damage in transit, and every order includes tracking, no matter where it's going.

New records get added regularly, and some never make it to a public listing before they sell. If you're looking for something specific, or just want to know when new stock comes in, join our mailing list or reach out directly.
