EDDIE QUANSAH / CHE CHE KULE / ILPS 9446

This is an extraordinary and highly coveted masterpiece of African funk, afro-disco, and highlife-fusion: Eddie Quansah — Che Che Kulé, released on the legendary Island Records imprint (Catalog No: ILPS 9446) in 1976/1977.

Masterminded by the virtuoso Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist, trumpeter, and composer Eddie Quansah (celebrated for his legendary horn arrangements across international rock, reggae, and afrobeat sessions alongside Bob Marley, Toots & the Maytals, and Slade), Che Che Kulé is an absolute heavyweight fusion of funky disco rhythms, highlife cadence, and afro-cuban percussion.
